I don’t have much to report apart from that.
Except perhaps that yesterday was the third anniversary of my very first blog
post. I didn’t mention it in my most recent post, because there were so many
happy and more important events to write about. So we’ll let this one go by without
the usual ‘pomp and circumstance’.
One of the few photos I've retreived from our 2009 trip.
The road stop along the A10 motorway south of Paris.
The road stop along the A10 motorway south of Paris.
Moreover, there is little going on in blog
sphere. I guess everybody is enjoying this long weekend to take a short trip or
do something useful around the house or the garden. I noticed the same trend
last time this year and expect that everybody will be back in a few weeks. In
the meantime, you can almost ‘hear a pin drop’ when you log into blogger …
Simon and Art were so right and couldn’t have said it any better: the sound of silence!
Have a nice and sunny weekend.
PS. Interested in knowing who is the 60ties
number 1 in Belgium? I doubt it, but just in case: check in later today or tomorrow morning ...

Happy belated blogaversary! I think I'm going on three too some time. I better check!
Regarding the 60s? If it's a European group, I would have no idea. But I would think that the Beatles or Elvis ruled for a good chunk of that time.

Happy belated Blogaversary! And enjoy the weekend.
Congratulations on the milestone in the bloggersphere! I hope you have a super weekend...and I will be interested to know what was number one...I loved Petula Clarke in the 60s. She recently visited Australia and at the age of 70+ remains spectacular in concert.
I want to know! Oh, I hope it wasn't Sugar Sugar or Two Little Boys. I heard both of those way too often back then.
I'm going to guess Hey Jude, because it's the first one I thought of now and I still love it.
Congratulations on the three years. I have enjoyed my time reading all the great information that you post. Sounds like your upcoming vacation is going to very interesting, especially the opportunity to meet some of your readers in person.
Congratulations, Martine.
I'll toast you with my glass of sparkles this evening. Here's to the next three years...
Growing up in the 60s, the music still lives with me. My daughter who was travelling thru
France with us currently sings the Beatles lyrics as does our 24 year old son. Music that lives on.
It is a long weekend too in Bali, there are quiet in the business center..but traffic jam in tourist spot...
Better late than never! Congratulations, Martine, who would have thought...
Three years! Is it that long I've seen you the last time? Still seems like yesterday we talked about your upcoming blog!
Happy anniversary, I hope that you are having a sunnier weekend than we are!
So many great songs in the 60's, the best ever era to my mind. Picking a top twenty is difficult but the number one....... She Loves You, Whiter Shade of Pale hmmmmmmm
Thanks for your condolence message, much appreciated by us both. Diane
Mark, The Beatles and Elvis came up a few times. But it was the English singer, Barry Ryan who came in first with the song 'Eloise'. I don't know whether he ever made it in the US.
N&A, Thank you. The weekend was great, except for the violent thunderstorm that caused some local floods. Luckily our region was spared.
Louise, I like Petula Clarck too, and her voice is still as strong as ever. Really amazing.
Carolyn, Hey Jude came in second place. Funny that you should mention Sugar Sugar by the Archies, because that was the very first single I ever bought.
Bob, Thank you for being such a loyal reader and commenter. You'll get a full report of the trip!
Gaynor, merci! I can almost taste the bubbles :)
L&S, You are so right, the Beatles are timeless. I only have one Beatles' single though: Hey Jude.
Bali boy, Maybe it's better to avoid those tourist spots and enjoy the peace and quiet.
Chm, I didn't realize that it has been three years since we saw each other. But you are right: you were in Paris when I visited with K&W in May 2010 and last year I didn't travel to France. It will be so nice to see you in two weeks time.
Diane, I like A Whiter Shade of Pale. In fact, I like it a lot, but it stranded on number 58 in this year's top 60. Such a shame.
