Candes Saint-Martin, my favourite spot in La Touraine.

I'm home!

This post will be short and sweet. Yes, I'm back home and rather tired. I spent a fitful night at The Oak in Charing because I was nervous about getting to Ashford in time to catch the one and only train to Brussels today; although I did have a back-up plan in case I were to miss it. But I'll tell you about that later.

The beach at Walmer and Deal,
with the village of Kingsdown and the White Cliffs
in the distance.

The train journey was smooth, although the train was about ten minutes late. I can truly recommend the Eurostar service. It was impeccable!

More tomorrow when I'm rested. Now I'm going to take little nap, before my friend Mats joins me here in Belgium. He's coming over by car through the Eurotunnel and should be here around 5 p.m. Well, I hope he will, because I've left the result of my 'Deal shopping spree' in his car ...

Glad to hear that you made it home safely. I agree about Eurostar - I've only ever had good experiences with them/

Welcome home! Yes, I've never been disappointed either with Eurostar.

I haven't never taken the Eurostar but I have heard only good things about it!
Glad you are home, resting and happy.

That sure was a short vacation! But, no doubt, full of fond memories past and future.

Can't wait to read all about it!

Take your sweet time though, you need the rest.

I've just got used to the idea of your being 'here' and you're 'there' again! It will be good to hear all about it!
