A well-deserved rest

After celebrating Christmas yesterday with a simple yet tasty lunch ...

- grilled goat's cheese, with vanilla honey and thyme
- turkey roast stuffed with a chestnut and raisin puree, baby romanesco cabbage sauteed in salty butter and traditional croquettes ...

...we've decided to take a few days of rest, before starting the New Year's preparations and my mother's upcoming move.

So for the next two or three days, we'll be following this Santa's example.

Did I mention that he was our Christmas desert?

An unusual en beautifully executed Christmas log (bûche) ...
Don't you just like his feet sticking from under the bed covers?

an airy 'bisquit', whipped vanilla flavoured cream,
a raspberry coulis and a yummy sugar coating.

Cute cake, Martine. If it was a good as it is pretty, you must really have enjoyed it.
